How to find a field to hire for a wedding?

Can anyone help? I am looking for the perfect field to hire in the St Albans area for my wedding. We have found 1 which is nice but I am sure there are others out there that do not have websites? Any ideas on how to find them? We want to have the freedom to bring our own wine etc with no restrictions, but in a picturesque setting?

check out the local farms where the school kids go to pick pumpkins during halloween.
They are usually nice and some have great halls too.
